It takes LO 5-20 minutes depending on how much activity she had. She would roll around all corners of her crib babbling and singing, then eventually just wipe out. She loves talking to her mobile and sleep sheep!

With Nicholas it depends on what we did before he naps and what time. Like today we were out until about 2:30pm so he fell asleep almost right away. Almost fell asleep in the car on the way home. When we're just at home not doing too much he sometimes takes a few minutes to over and hour to 1.5 hours one time! He'll just sing and talk to himself the whole time.

With Skyler, we still have to rock him to sleep so it takes a little bit of time. He still cries like crazy right before he falls asleep. On the rare occasion like today my husband rocked him for about 5 minutes and he was out. Can't wait to move him into his own room and sleep train him. Keeping my fingers crossed he'll be a good sleeper like Nicholas.

Most days he's asleep within 5 minutes. If he's awake longer than that he's probably putting up a fight.

Usually it takes seconds/minutes for LO. She always falls asleep on her right side and once she's there, she's out. Once in a while, it'll take her up to about 10-15 minutes...Sometimes she just likes to talk to and play by herself before she's ready to go to sleep. So cute.

My older one (N) can take up to an hour of singing to herself. Sometimes we think that she is asleep but she's still not! But if we try to keep her up later, she is a total bull in a china shop...so she does best quietly singing to herself in bed.
My younger one (A) sleeps really well and quickly during the day (about 3 minutes by herself in her crib) but at night it can take up to 30 minutes of rocking her before she sleeps!

Anywhere from two minutes to a half hour. Sometimes she'll crawl around, sit and stand up, and talk to herself for awhile.

It used to be around 5 minutes but lately she'll roll around for 30-45 min before finally passing out. No fussing though!

@mrs. wagon: @Teachermama: ah wow your lo's are talkers/rollers too! i was so used to charlie passing out quickly that i'm not used to olive and her babbling/rolling ways. previous to nap training, we would put her in her crib asleep.

all i can say is that nap training has been life changing! phew so glad we did it.

Sometimes a minute. Sometimes 20. Or 30. A few times lately he has not fallen asleep at all and we've left him there for over an hour!

Depends...if there was lots of activity and stimulation, he crashes in less than 1 min. But most times, like Olive, he will roll, crawl, talk, for about 5-20 mins. We sometimes find him with his feet up on the side of the crib rails, lounging, talking away. And usually no crying or fussing.

I just put Olive down for a nap and it took her 17 min to fall asleep, which is a long time! She rolls around a lot in her crib talking to herself, and then all of a sudden she stops either on her side or belly and then passes out. Sometimes she's out within 3 minutes, and sometimes it takes her 20 minutes. She never cries though.

With Charlie, he'd flip over onto his belly the moment we put him in the crib and he'd be out within 3 minutes, usually faster.
