@gotkimchi: Yes! After the first time my son had it and needed 4 rounds of antibiotics I buy dollar store toothbrushes and throw away after a single use. Over kill I'm sure but it was terrible.

The first time my son had strep he had a fever and I could tell he was feeling crappy and I would say it was about 24-48 hours after starting antibiotics that he was feeling better. He has had it a few times since then and the only way we know is by his voice changing. He no longer gets the fever and typically acts himself.

First time dealing with it EVER (I never had it as a kid) with DD2 last week. She was diagnosed Tuesday afternoon. I wouldn't say she was feeling better until Saturday.

Hope your LO feels better soon!

Has your LO ever had Strep? How long until they were feeling better? I took LO to Urgent Care this morning because her regular doctors office was full for the day, and it turns out she has an ear infection and Strep...I used to get Strep a lot as a kid but then had my tonsils out so this is a new sickness I'm dealing with as a parent. I'm hoping it clears up soon!
