Runny noses can last up to two weeks according to a poster at my peds office. When M got her first cold even though she got over it relatively quickly the runny nose lingered for a few weeks.

My LOs are sometimes sick for what seems like a month with the runny nose. Sometimes the colds develop into sinus infection, especially if the snot is out of control and thick. I would say if it doesn't show signs of improvement soon, you could make a sick visit?

My son has had 3 colds in the last month. The last two have been one on top of the other so he has been sick for 2 weeks straight. No fever, but drippy nose (and crazy snot in the snot sucker). Some occasional sneezing but otherwise ok. I'm starting to get a little concerned as he has had one cold or another for literally 2 weeks now. Doesn't that seem like a long time? Any suggestions?
