Then, I went online and ordered copies of it. It was delivered by next day mail. I somehow sent them the application without the check (though I sort of think they lost it because I never found it at home) and it took them 4 weeks to mail me a letter asking me to apply again with payment. Why could t they call o notify me or collect payment over the phone (which they do allow)? I was so annoyed. We had the option to order it online and have it mailed. It's been over a month so I called to see what the hold up was. </p> <p>Then I got some run-around about that his birth wouldn't be recorded until 30 business days later and then it'd be 7-10 business days for processing plus 3-5 business days to mail. </p> <p>Ugh. I hate dealing with the government. So inefficient and completely absurd that it takes 30 business days to even record his birth. </p> <p>How long did it take to get your LO's birth certificate? </p>
