I didn't want to continue spending the money on formula if I didn't have to. She liked the flavor of milk, so it was easy. I did keep doing a bottle of formula right before bedtime for a few weeks past one, and then I transitioned her first to a bottle of water instead (which she wasn't very interested in), and then to a sippy cup with water. Now going on 13 months she's completely off of formula and bottles.
