It has been 2 weeks since my second and I still don't feel ready. I just quit the narcotics a day ago.... I was only on Motrin that day and DH had a conference call that he had to have a laptop open for in the backseat. I had been in the hospital for almost a full week and he had no idea I would be in so long and I was DYING to leave, so I just drove. I was never on any painkillers outside of Motrin, and wasn't taking any by the time I was discharged, so my ob cleared me. My midwife kind of acted like it was a funny question but said that I was fine to drive if I wasn't taking narcotics, which I only did one time in the hospital. I actually don't remember anyone even mentioning it to me in the hospital I just assumed 2 weeks. I drove myself to emerg one might because I thought my feet swelling was out of control. It was raining really hard so I didn't want to pack up the baby. I was never on anything stronger than regular Tylenol and Advil (they didn't offer me anything). It wasn't my smartest decision! I said no, and she said ok, you can drive then. Luckily DH took off the first 6 weeks so he drove everywhere anyways.
