IMMEDIATELY
and still not yet at 5 months pp.

I didn't feel like someone else was IN my body within hours after the birth (or immediately? I was out for the surgery so I don't know exactly when I realized it).

My body still feels foreign but not in the way it did during pregnancy. I am just trying to get used to my new body. At least it is MINE now.

My hand/arm numbness went away around 8 weeks pp.

Let me preface this by saying I was incredibly fortunate that I had minimal tearing (and i tore to the side instead of front to back) so I may be an anomaly, but I felt pretty good 2 days after I had my baby. I still had some pain, but as long as I didnt stand for too terribly long, or try to do too much, I was good. I started walking around the block about 10 days PP, and I was jogging again at 2 weeks PP.

I was over pretty much all the pregnancy issues (heartburn, swelling, high blood pressure) the minute I had my LO.

I still don't feel completely 100% normal (but I broke my tailbone during labor and that can take up to a year to heal). I'm 3 months PP. But other than the tailbone... I think I felt normal around 10 weeks?

For me it was right after delivery!! I had horrible heartburn from about 8 weeks until the very end and since going into labor I haven't had any! And I can bend over and get up from the couch by myself...it's amazing! Hopefully it's immediate for you too :)

I'm not talking about how long to heal down there. But to not feel like you are an extra in invasion of the body snatchers, you know? I always hear women say they are ready not to be pregnant anymore (me too!) but do you get relief after pregnancy? all those symptoms like heartburn and fatigue and trouble walking and bending over and pelvic pain and swelling....when did you get relief from your least favorite pregnancy symptom? Right after delivery? Later? Never?
