we like to put them in the next size up as soon as it seems a bit snug, esp in length. it sounds like she's ready for 4's!

our 6 month old (18 lbs) is in 4's now... a bit early, but he is tall, and now way more comfy and no more red lines! and no leaks, either :)

R is 20lbs and still fits in 3's but they are getting tight on her thighs. We needed more overnights and moved up to size 4's and they are working fine. So we are going to go ahead and get size 4's when we use up all the 3s

We moved to fours around 6/7 months. She was about 19 pounds, so below the min. weight but the threes weren't covering her bum crack. She has a tummy and thick thighs.

Not long really. She's been in 5s way longer. Usually I switch when it's too tight at the belly and leaking.

Wow, my DS has been in size 4's since he was about 4 months old, 16ish pounds!!! He's 9 months now and still in size 4's. We sized up because he was having blowouts with almost every poop! We use size 5 overnight diapers because he's a really heavy wetter.

My DD is 9 months, we use size 3 during the day and size 4 at night. She's 22lbs right now. The size 3s still fit but seem like they are about to get snug around her legs.

Oh and I use Luvs btw :)

Lo is 15 months and 19 lbs and has been in size 4 since she was one. We had a few blowouts one week and were running low on our stash, so we went up the next time we bought them.

We moved up to 4s at 14 months when he was around 19 lbs - skinny one here too but he has a long torso and for whatever reason ends up with poop up the back if we don't move up when he is at the cusp of needing a size change. He has worn 4s for days for a long time (he's 22 months) and wears 5s at night.

M is 15 mo and 20 lbs. and we've been in size 3 for quite a while. She's had a few wet morning wake-ups in the past few days though, so I'm thinking of trying out the 4's to see if they're better or if they'd still be too big.

@photojane: pampers cruisers have less bulk between the legs. I accidentally got the Swaddlers and really noticed the difference.

@Mrs Green Grass: We're using the Target Up & Up brand. They only have the one type of diaper. What's the difference in a walker-specific diaper?

He was in 3s from 6 months until just recently, around 15/16 months, at about 22 lbs. we only switched bc his poops could no longer be contained by the 3s! The 4s also seem roomier for him.

We've been in 3's forever! Tiny waist here too and only 17.5 lbs. I've just noticed them start to feel shorter. What type are you using? The dermatitis might be better in a style destined for crawling/walking.

At about 19.5 pounds, Sadie's still below the top weight for 3's (28lbs) and the bottom weight for 4's (22lbs), but I think we might need to graduate...? The 3's still fit with plenty of room in the waist, but she's starting to get some contact dermatitis on her hips and she had two leaks yesterday (she hasn't leaked in forever). I'm thinking we might need to size up, but I'm afraid they will be huge since she has a tiiiiny waist.

How long/at what weight was your LO in size 3? What's your cue to size up?
