I usually have 26-28 day cycles, so I just chalked it up to stress. Surprisingly, I also had the exact opposite, and had a 23 day cycle the month I was waiting for bar results. They finally regulated themselves to approx. every 42 days in the last few years, and have never been closer than that. (I didn't need meds to get pregnant either time, even with long cycles.) I needed provera to start my second cycle of Clomid, and got pregnant that month. I was "regular" again when I went back on BCP after having my daughter in 2011. I went back to irregular once I went back off the pill to TTC #2! He said its important to have a period at least every 90 days when not on hormonal birth control
