We dropped to one feed at 13 months, and he nursed until 19/20 months (I only nursed on the right side starting around 14 months).

Oh wow, these answers are way better than I thought they'd be. I figured it would be a matter of days to a week and I'd have to figure out how to do bedtime without it.

I think we did a couple months of just mornings before she self-weaned. I do think my right side (lower producer) gave up around that point, but leftie kept going strong :)

I've been nursing 1x a day for about 6 months. I was ready to wean all together a few months ago (when LO was about 20 months old) but he wanted nothing to do with it. I noticed a dip in my supply when I first switched to once a day, but then it regulated pretty well.

As long as I wanted! It ended up being a long time until I decided I was over it. LO would probably still be nursing if it was up to him.

I think for about 2.5 months? And could have kept going in terms of having milk, I just decided to wean.

I was nursing twice a day for about a month, and then went to once a day for a couple weeks. The only reason why we stopped the once a day was because my work schedule just wouldn't allow it. I was just feeding her in the morning but when I started work she was still sleeping when I left, and when I got home she was in bed already. I was considering starting up an afternoon feed but didn't feel like trying to get a supply back up for the middle of the day after not having a day feed for so long.

My story is very similar to Adiras. We nursed two times for months but once I was pregnant he weaned off of one feed but kept going for the other for nearly another month. We could have kept that up (supply was fine) but since I was pregnant the milk just seemed to taste differently and he didn't want to go on.

We nursed once a day for two months (12.5 months to 14.5 months) before Xander weaned on his own. We probably could have kept going, but I was pregnant, so I think that affected things.

So I went back to work about a month ago right after LO's first birthday, and have been nursing morning and bedtime (and sometimes an extra session or two on weekends, and if she wakes up in the middle of the night which is thankfully rare) and it's seemed to be fine so far supply-wise. This last week though she's been somewhat refusing her morning session. It's such a battle, and I mean, we're on a schedule in the morning so sometimes if she plays around too long we have to cut it short. However, she's still SUPER attached to her bedtime feed.

I'm pretty sure though that if I also cut out morning it's pretty much going to spell the end of me being able to give that one too, and we haven't really managed get her on board with a sippy of milk replacing that one.

So I'm curious how long any of you were able to hang on with just nursing once a day?
