Used a nipple shield and lots of lanolin (actually organic version of it) and it was better. At 17 days out, my nipples are a little sore lately from increased feeding frequency but it's nothing like at first - and now they mostly just hurt when he first latches. They had stop being sore around 3 weeks, but she sometimes has relapses in the way she latches (no idea why) so I'm dealing with some soreness. I'm glad she doesn't understand what I'm saying yet! I do use a nipple shield though.
