@junebugmama: oh good call on the two smaller ones, thanks. She is definitely a comfort nurser but doesn't take a paci. Luckily there is another little boy being babysat at the hotel so they will hang out together and hopefully distract her.

6 months in a regular freezer, as long as it's not in the door. The average 6-12 month old should be taking between 3 and 5 oz bottles.

Since the baby may have some anxiety when you're away, they may want to suck more in order to soothe themselves. I would suggest leaving 2 - 3oz bottles. Otherwise, baby may get overfed to compensate for missing you and get sick

C is almost 8 months and is currently taking 6oz bottles. He can take 7 if he's really really hungry, but will spit up afterwards so I think 6 is a good amount for him.

I think the rule is 6 months in a regular freezer, so milk from October should be fine.

M takes 5oz/bottle at daycare.

In a regular freezer (not a chest deep freezer) how long do you keep frozen milk? I don't use pumped milk very often so I've got some from October. I'm assuming as long as it smells and tastes fine when it's thawed, it's fine, right?

Also, at 8 months, how many ounces of breastmilk was your baby taking in a bottle/serving?

Gearing up for my day away from C for my sister's wedding. DH gave her an almost 6 oz bottle on Saturday and she drank almost all of it, so I think I will tell the babysitter to do that. I'd rather waste a little bit than have her be hungry the first time with a babysitter!
