I feel like a week is plenty of time to respond. I mean it takes like 2 minutes to write an email back. I would move on. If people take that long to respond I assume they don't want my business.

I would move on! I had a slow responding wedding photographer and it drove me crazy.

I'm picky about stuff like that. My husband and I say the same thing everytime - Oh, I guess this person doesn't want my business! Indicative of bad service and bad business sense IMO.

I would move on. I had a terrible experience with our wedding photographer not responding to emails/calls. It took us a year and a half to get our wedding album from her. I vowed never to use anyone with poor communication skills ever again!!

This is one of my pet peeves and a newborn photographer did the exact same thing to me too. It was actually a photographer several WB blogger bee's used so I was surprised that she totally flaked adn wouldn't respond even after I followed up twice.

I would honestly just move on. Imagine being in this situation after teh photo shoot and you're waiting for your proof's. Who knows how long it will take her to get back to you and something like a newborn shoot is super time sensitive.

I would probably move on. Nothing worse than someone not getting back to you, especially after a week. How long will it take her to get your photos to you? Something to think about!

I agree with @Pelikila . . . this could be an indication of future problems.

It's like standing in line at the store waiting to pay for stuff . . . why are you making me wait to give you money?

Based on your description, I'd probably go in another direction. I got burned with our wedding photographer and issues with response should have raised flags for me earlier in the game than they did so I'm a little over-sensitive. If she responded the first time right away and your additional inquiries haven't been responded to in almost a week, then I'd say something is going on. She may have a very valid reason but if she is still active on her business pages, it doesn't seem that there would be a good excuse.

There is a newborn photographer whose work DH and I really like, and so I emailed her about booking her. She responded back to the first email really quickly. The second and third emails I sent with questions about formally booking her, how to pay, etc haven't been answered! I know she read them last Thursday (read receipt) but she hasn't responded...She added a ton of new pics to her Facebook page, so surely she'd have time to send me her Paypal email address so I could pay her. Now that its been nearly a week I'm wondering if we should just book someone else. How long do you give people to respond?

*I have no idea where to put this post - sorry if its in the wrong section!
