I'm EBF right now though. In normal times, we may have 1-2 glasses of wine at dinner a few times per week. When not pregnant I drink mostly at social gatherings, not usually if it is just the 2 of us (although admittedly-- if my husband drank wine I'd be a lot more inclined to drink more often. I just hate opening a bottle just for me). When I drink it is usually wine, usually 1 glass-- sometimes 2. Almost never more than 2. The size of the beer really depends on the style- if it is a Belgian then it is smaller but stronger, if it is a wheat then it is considerably larger but weaker. </p> <p>It depends on our plans for the next day and driving home as well as where my husband's blood glucose is that day (diabetic). When DH and I first moved in together I was a little surprised by the fact that he'd often have a couple of beers on a weeknight, because I don't drink during the week, I have a lower tolerance and it makes me feel crappy, so it's not worth it to me. Because of MY experience with alcohol, I was somewhat uncomfortable with his drinking during the week, but after talks about it, I realized I was basing my opinion on how it affects me, not how it affects him and how he handles it. He's responsible, it doesn't impact his lifestyle in any negative way, and he enjoys it (the taste, not just the relaxation factor.) I have learned to become comfortable with it. Obviously if it WAS having some negative affects on our life we'd have to re-evaluate. </p>
