I come from a somewhat superstitious tradition that doesn't fully celebrate the baby until he/she arrives. His family is in WA and CA. We don't really know very many people out here and we work a ton of hours so taking time off to travel places for a shower wasn't really do-able.</p> <p>My cousin is also pregnant and so my aunts threw us a co-shower together in WI. I couldn't make it up there, and I guess my cousin wasn't feeling well so she had to leave right away so it was kind of a shower with no guests of honor!
