What is great about our house now is that the basement isn't finished yet so now we have three bedrooms which is perfect (one for us, guest, and for our son) and then if we have another little one we can close off the loft upstairs for #2 where Hubs' office is now and add a bedroom in the basement for his office. My parents had 4 kids and a 6 bedroom house, which was great because we all had our own room and there was one spare room. There was a separate office downstairs. The kitchen is at the center of my house so everyone naturally drifts towards that room in any house. So I feel like everyone can have their space but easily converge still.
