I'm a big fan of the lansinoh freezer over the medela freezer bags. They hold more and freeze flatter. I thought the medela would be good because you can pump right into the bag, but it's not really that great a system and they take up too much space in the freezer.

I guess I forgot to mention that we have a variety of other feeding bottles. (tommee, avent, drbrowns, etc.)

I guess I should just get freezer bags instead of more BF bottles?

I started off with a few different kinds to see which one she'll take. I had: 2 Avent, 1 Mam, 6 Nuk (diff models), 2 Comotomo. I only used the Comotomo. Even now at 3 months, I only use Comotomo, but I bought a larger size, so she cycles through those same 4 each day.

I have twelve of the medela freezer bottles to use for pumping and storing since LO will be going to day care after my mat leave. And then I have 3 Dr Browns, 2 Avents, and 4 Tommee Tippie for feeding. We'll see which brand LO tends to prefer to eat from.

I have 8 pumping bottles and take 6 to work with me.
We have 6 feeding bottles and take 4 to daycare (though she normally only takes 3 while she's there).

I have six of the bottles that came with my pump and that's just enough for me (pump 3x a day at work). I usually use 5 of them pumping and have one sitting in the fridge at home with a little leftover milk. If I have more than one extra bottle of milk I freeze it. I also have four of the bottles LO drinks out of, we have to wash every day but I'd rather do that than spend more money on more bottles and labels for them.

I was given a free manual pump at the hospital (ameda) with 2 bottles. I have an oversupply and forceful letdown so I have to pump a little before each feed so she can latch on and so she doesn't choke (which equals REALLY BAD GAS!). I don't bother storing it, so I just leave one bottle on to collect all night and dump in the morning. Haha. I rinse the flange in between.

Since I'm a SAHM and I rarely bottle feed (L hasn't had a bottle since I quit working in Aug), we were able to make do with 3 bottles.

We have (had) four bottles and it was enough for us. We're EBF but I like to pump for when we'll be out at public events, and also for when DH or someone else is with him.

We have too many for now!! Bottles are everywhere. Daycare won't reuse bottles so we have 6 small dr browns, I think. 6 medela that came with the pumps...6 big dr b's which he won't use until later...

In the beginning I had 3 avent bottles and about 10 playtex nursers that are used with drop in liners. The more bottles you have the less pressure there is to wash everything immediately. But then again I wouldnt buy too many because sometimes babies change their mind about with bottles they like

totally depends on so much

I am home with LO all the time and only used the bottles for when I was having a glass of wine or went out to yoga. 1 bottle would have been fine.

But if you're going back to work and LO is getting bottles all day, well that's another story!

edit: I have storage bags too
