depends on how pressed we are for time .... but usually 3. 1-2 if it's past her bedtime, 4 or 5 if we're on time/early. If it was up to my kid, we would read everything.

Depends on the night. Anywhere from 1-5. She likes to "read" herself though, so some nights she will just ask for a book and want to get in her crib so she can read it to her babies/animals. Watching her read to her "friends" over the monitor is my favorite thing ever.

5845843758 or at least it feels like it. Both m daughter and son like books and want like a zillion before bed. With my daughter its easier as she will listen to a story and then move on to the next. My son can take like 20 minutes to get through one book. He needs to draw every page on his MagnaDoodle, he needs to examine all the pictures closely, he needs to ask questions and look back at other pages to be sure and then he needs to do this for the next million books. I love books and I love reading and I love they inherited this love but sometimes Im so exhausted and this is just the straw that breaks the camels back at the end of the night for me. I try limit my son to 2 if he insists on making a production when we read

Ha! We're a 3 plus 1 family too, although I'm the one who's always getting suckered into one more book. He'll usually beg for one of his favorites as the 4th book--Goodnight Moon or Jamberry or Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site-- and then I feel bad about not reading his favorite to him and let him have the extra book. Daddy's better about holding the line.

If I let her stay up a little later to watch a show, or play or do whatever else then she usually only gets 1-2. If we get our bedtime routine done pretty fast then I'll read 3-5 books. My youngest sadly doesn't sit still for books yet and she would rather just eat them or throw them so she doesn't get read to much yet.

How many bedtime stories does your LO get per night?
