@Mamaof2: no, formula for both.
Big brother just had a huge appetite and ate way more of everything including solids. If only, he'd eat that much now!

DS2 is 10 months old and usually gets five bottles a day. They are mainly 6 oz and the one before bed is large (anywhere from 8-12 ounces). He wasn't getting one in the MOTN but lately he's been waking up and its the quickest way to get him back to sleep.

In my experience, 6 oz is all he wants during the day. If I add more, he'll just leave it. Big brother was different. He was at 8 ounce bottles by 2-3 months!

I don't nurse, but my LO is 10 months and gets 4 bottles: 8oz, 6,6,9. I just started reducing his 2nd and 3rd bottles, and will taper down even more in a week or two. He only gets two meals of solids, though, so I'm planning to cut the bottle sizes at the same time.

@CakeLady: 6oz is a lot if getting after a meal/snack - I would stick with smaller bottles

@Mamaof2: we nurse at wake up, breakfast about 30 minutes later, then all bets are off at daycare (some combo of lunch and snack and 3 bottles in no particular order), dinner at home, nurse before bed. When he is home he nurses between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner. We usually do an afternoon snack too.

My little guy nurses four times a day (he will be 11 months on Friday) but he has been on that schedule since the beginning of January. He eats three meals a day as well since ten months.

@Mamaof2: did they always have 4oz bottles or were their bottles bigger/smaller than when they were younger?

DS was getting 3 6oz bottles, we've gone down to 5oz since he started taking more solids. I'm trying to figure out if I should keep up with 3 5oz bottles or if i should do 2 6oz or 3 4oz, since he isn't always taking all three bottles.

DS is 9.5 months he is nursing and/or getting a bottle of breastmilk 5-6 times a day still (4-5 during the day and once overnight). We offer 5oz bottles. Since he does ok when he only gets 4 bottles/nursing sessions during they day, I wonder if I should drop down to 2 slightly bigger bottles (6 oz?) consistently?

How often does your 10 month old get a bottle or nurse? and if they take a bottle how many oz are they drinking?
