The first deer I hit tech totalled my car. My Grandfather who at the time was still alive and well repaired my car. He use to own his own Auto repair place so he was able to fix everything. When I got it back he had signs all over my car that said "Deer Slayer". It was funny! But not so funny for the deer!<br /> The cop and the tow truck driver at the scene said I was really lucky. I was like 18 at the time and I had a big old car (Dodge Dynasty) They said had I been driving a smaller car it would have come up into the windshield and taken me out. I backed into a car in high school that was not in a parking space. No damage to my car, but crushed her back passenger door.<br /> 2. Had my ex-boyfriend's mother back into the side of my car. I wasn't in it...it was parked.<br /> 3. Got rear-ended coming off the interstate. Wasn't a huge deal; just some minor damage.<br /> 4. Was a passenger with my husband driving when someone T-boned us in an intersection. Luckily, we were in a truck and they hit directly at the back axle. Unluckily, we were hauling a brand-new jet ski. The trailer and jet-ski literally flew through the air and landed on another car's hood. I was taught how to drive by my grandma-like father, so I'm an extremely cautious driver, despite the fact that I'm from Boston, am Asian, and a woman ;) I've been the driver in a few very minor incidents, only one went to insurance-- I was driving along a major road in Boston and a driver trying to take a right onto said road ignored the stop sign and hit us. He tried to blame us but we were like... umm.. all we did was drive forward on a major road. He fought us for a while but we just shut up and called insurance, and there was no question-- 100% his fault. </p> <p>The deer story reminded me of something hilarious... my dad was once at a red light, and he was looking in his rearview mirror and saw a deer running down the road. He thought, "how strange" and then BAM! The deer hit the side of his car! He couldn't even open his door. The deer eventually got up and ran into the woods, where it probably died... because it hit my dad's car so hard, the entire door was covered in fur and blood, and there was a line of deer fur stuck between the hubcap and the tire so deep that my dad had to remove the tire to clean out the fur. We would never have believed him if it weren't for that line of fur (he washed the car on the way home, but the fur wouldn't budge). The door was completely smashed. So sad for the deer. But yeah-- that's pretty much the extent of my dad's car incidences. Really foggy out in the country where I grew up and went off the road. Actually totalled my car.<br /> I hit a deer twice. First time totalled my car. BIG deer!<br /> Then the last one I should have faught but they said it was my fauly. I had enough proof that it wasnt but was out of state on a planned vacation when the court date was set. So I just let it go. I was side swiped when I was turning right on a red and a SUV of teenagers chaged lanes last minute and ended up going straight and hit me. I was merging onto a local freeway and a guy sideswiped me as he sped by cutting me off. I tried breaking to avoid hitting him, the brakes stalled, I hit the median with my left front, flipped, and hit the right back. and flipped again and hit my left front. Whoops. No one was hurt, and we were going super slow<br /> My second, I'm not sure if you could consider it an accident because I wasn't in the car, but my ex boyfriends mother accidentally backed into my car when it was parked in her driveway.<br /> My 3rd was so stupid because I pulled into a driveway too close to my friend's car, and scraped her front end.<br /> My 4th was very similar to my 3rd but instead I scraped my parent's house. I clearly hated this car because it was soooo big. I would never get another one like it again.<br /> My 5th was totally the fault of the state of New Jersey, and was my worst accident ever, and it still scares me to this day. I was helping my brother move, and afterwards I had to run to the grocery store to pick up potatoes, and as I was leaving his development (an completely unfamiliar area for me) I entered a 4 lane intersection without stopping, because the STOP SIGN WAS MISSING! I t-boned another car, and spun around until my car eventually died in the middle of the road. It was so scary. Thankfully no one was majorly hurt in my car. The driver of the other car had some broken ribs. It was December 2, 2007 (totally remember, I was traumatized) - it was the first snow of the year and it was crazy icy, blizzardy, and rainy. I was on the high way and started hydroplaning - I spun across 4 lanes of traffic, got hit twice by two different cars, and ultimately ended up in the ditch at the other side of the high way. I was a kid in the back seat when my mom rear ended someone who slammed on their brakes. </p> <p>As a driver, one little one. Some idiot in front of me was hauling furniture in the back of his truck without tying any of it down, in a rainstorm. A metal armchair came flying off the back of his truck, right it front of me. I ran into it, it got all caught up in the undercarriage of my car. He kept driving. I got out of the car, in this raging storm, on the highway, and actually managed to lift the front end of the car off it and get it untangled with my foot. The other car just drove away. Wasn't hurt.</p> <p>Next, a passenger in a car that drove into a store front. It was a glass store front and the only reason was stopped was because we hit one of the foundation beams. We were in a hefty SUV and I only got a sprained ankle. This happened a few blocks from herald square and luckily it was like 4 in the morning, so no one was on the street or in the shop.</p> <p>Latest was NYE last year. Collided with another car at an intersection. It was my fault because I had the stop sign. LO was in the car too - I was terrified. I was a passenger in both and have so much fear and anxiety about getting into cars (I try to avoid it as much as I can, thankful I live in NYC).</p> <p>The first, I had to be airlifted to a trauma unit. Lots of blood lost, concussion, physical therapy, plastic surgery, though I still have scars (physical &amp; emotional) etc. The second, a concussion and a cracked rib.</p> <p>I am going to be a mess when my LO is here and we have to get into cars with her. I've been thinking about counseling for the anxiety.
