If you are really cutting in close, even 24 diapers would be enough for 2 days (diaper changes every 2 hours which is way more than whats actually needed). I agree that closer to 30 is more comfortable.

I use applecheeks and I think 12 covers and 30 inserts is a great stash :)

As a first time mom, I stocked up on a few diff brands to see what works for us... I think we have about 26 in our stash so far (due in Nov)... of BG 4.0s, Grovia AIOs, Kawaii, and Charlie Bananas.

At least 26 to do wash every other day, but agree with pps that 30 is better. We use mostly perfect size fuzzibunz and BG 4.0s and like both.
ETA: we have one Kawaii, and it's fine, but for some reason I find that it is harder to snap than the others in our stash.

I love kissaluv fitteds. When LO was a newborn, I actually started off with 8 NB fitteds, and 24 NB prefolds with 8 flip covers. Because my LO's legs are pretty lean (not so much anymore), i was able to use the NB fitteds past the weight recommendation. At almost 12 weeks, i use 8 NB fitteds, 4 medium kissaluv fitteds, 12 prefolds, and 2 BG freetime diapers.

I was really surprised at how easy it was to use cloth diapers from the beginning. We used disposables at night (still do) and i do a wash every 2 days.

I have 18 Fuzzibunz and 12 BumGenius pocket diapers. I'm not a huge fan of the Fuzzibunz diapers, so I'd really like to get some more BumGenius, so I can stop using the FBs. I agree that 30 is more than enough if you're going to do wash every 2-3 days.

I use and love bg all in one, one size. I have 30 and I do a wash every other day. There are always leftovers so you don't need that much, but I like extras in case lo poo's more than normal or I'm not feeling well so I can't get to the laundry.

I just made the switch from weddingbee to here. I asked this question over there but lately we haven't had a ton of action on the babies boards. Mom's that cloth diaper how many one size cloth diapers will I need? I am using the pocket diapers with inserts. The brands I was looking to use are Sunbaby, Kawaii, and Fuzzibunz. What are your favorite brands to use? All the advice I can get would be great. We are going to use gDiapers in the beginning and then switch to One Size diapers after LO outgrows the size small gDiapers we have.
