When we were doing cloth full time I had way more than I needed but I only had to do laundry every few days. I think I had 35 or so?

I change about every 2ish hours. I have AIO's, pockets, and shells/liners. I have around 25 diapers and that's enough to last 3-4 days before needing to wash. We do disposables overnight as her overnight diapers were just smelling way too much while she was wearing them.

I have 24 bumgenius 4.0s. We use cloth during the day (home and daycare) and usually just one disposable overnight. I wash on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We change about every 2 hours. It's the perfect number for us.

I had 18 BG 4.0s and 5 aos we don't really like for lo 1. Now with two we have 26 BG 4.0. It's about all the fits in the washer, I wouldn't want more.

24 worked well for us ... we had a mix of BG and a cheaper brand.

We have 22 BG AIO freetimes for my 7.5 month old. I change her every 2-3 hours usually, and wash about 3 times per week. I wouldn't mind having 3-4 more in my stash, but this has been totally fine.

We use one diaper overnight and just lay an extra thirsties insert in the bottom.

When we CD'd full time (day, night, at daycare) with 24. I would put one on in the morning, he'd go through 5 at daycare, and then he'd get changed again at bedtime (so 7 in an average day). I did laundry every 3 days. They were all BG Freetimes (all-in-ones).

Our new daycare doesn't do CD (boo), so we only do it at night and on the weekends. All of the elastic needed to be replaced in our Freetimes, so since we only do it part-time I only replaced 12 of them. I still wash them probably 2x/week, just to keep up with stank.

We have 24. We use cloth during the day and at night, both home and at daycare. Half are Rumparooz pockets and half are Bumgenius All-in-ones, with a couple of BG pockets thrown in. At 21 months, DS goes through 5-6 per day/night, but as @Mrs. Lion: said, when they are younger you end up changing much more frequently. We do laundry about every 3 days. We change him as soon as he poops, or when we smell it, but every 2-3 hours otherwise. We don't change him overnight, although he wears a hemp insert to soak all the pee up. No leaks, and he doesn't poo at night.

I think 24 was about our sweet spot (after the newborn period, of course) but I've bought more than that since then.

I bought 12 newborn covers for this coming baby and I'm wondering whether I should buy a few more as well (we used pockets and AIOs with LO1 and disposables until she fit in one-size, so newborn is a new world to me).

We got by with about 16 for my oldest and then went up to 22 when my youngest was born so that I didn't have to wash quite so often. We went from washing every other day to washing about every third day with 22. You need more when they are newborns, but by the time they are a few months old and don't poop 50 times a day you can get by with 6-7 per day.

We have about 18 AIOs and 10 AI2s/pockets. We never run out or get close. I think 20-25 is a good estimate.

With covers, we use the same 2 throughout the day, alternating and letting them air dry. Ours are never super wet though. We change every 2-3 hrs. Unless it's poop :)

Debating whether to go full time with cloth. I have 12 pockets (all in twos) now and obv that does not go long!

How many is average would you say to full time cloth? I'd invest in more inserts but the covers are pretty wet/ soiled each change.

also, how often do you change them? He's pretty wet every hour or so but I thought cloths hold up with wetness well...?
