With my problematic in laws, we stayed 4 days, 5 nights I think. It was exhausting and tough on LO. My MIL wanted DH and I to use 5 PTO days each for a week stay. Both my family and my husband's family live in the same town though so often we stay for five days and split it. So we left on a Saturday and flew to visit my family. Left there on wedneday and flew to see DHs. We came home Sunday morning. I think it was way too long of a trip!! I was soooo ready to be back home. We went to Atlanta for a wedding an stayed 5 days and it was a decent amount of time, but we weren't with family.
