If he has a noticeable cough (usually productive) or seems lethargic, I keep him home. Otherwise he goes and I tell daycare that we are monitoring the runny nose and that if he seems feverish or lethargic to call me and I'll come get him ASAP. </p> <p>And I've noticed when I do pick-up (my mom usually does it) on runny nose days that almost all of the kids have runny noses perpetually. I kept him home Tuesday, Wednesday, and now Thursday he is missing another class this morning. He's still coughing, but the runny nose is better...anyway, just started thinking that if he were in school, no way I would keep him home for almost a week with just a cold, but at the same time, it feels wrong to send him to classes when he's coughing this much. What are your thoughts? Especially with a cough, which I feel like can linger for a long time...! </p>
