I am just taking whatever people give me...not planning on buying any out of my own pocket until needed. I am not sure what to do with diapers that don't work out? I told the girls hosting the shower no gifts, but they insisted on at least diapers/wipes. Ironically, almost everyone gave us Huggies. I guess I will just have to wait and see!

@lydg: I would still take it easy on stocking up bc not all diapers fit all babies the same way. I made the decision to go with Huggies Little Snugglers after doing research and thankfully they work well for my LO. But at the hospital they gave us Pampers Swaddlers and I hated those on our LO. They were way too wide for her bum.
With my niece when she was a baby the only diapers that fit her properly were the generic Babies R Us diapers. And my nephew Pampers were the only ones that didn't give him a rash.

Receipts are great taped to the box just be aware of return policies.

LO was born 7lbs 8oz and we went thru 2 (76ct) boxes of NB. Currently halfway thru our second box of 1s (84ct). I think we'll probably go thru 3? She's been going thru a box a week.

I stocked up 2 each and taped receipts to the boxes.

@Mrs. Bee: thanks! I couldn't remember which size they're in for a long time. Will be keeping my eye out for sales now!

I hear its best to wait, but we have about three packs of 1's, two packs of 2's, and a pack as well as a box of 3's. No newborns. We are having a diaper raffle at our shower so I am sure people will get us newborns. We will either exchange the smaller sizes for bigger, or hope we use them ;) We have a good amount of wipes too, but obviously those you can always use. I say if you want to stock up get 3's.

I didn't buy any diapers for a good month or so. We got a pack of newborns (they were on the small side so I was glad we only had one pack). We got 2 packs of 1's from the hospital and some as gifts too.
My LO moved through sizes really quickly. I would just wait until your LO arrives before you buy more.

even as a preemie olive zoomed through n, 1, and 2. but she's been in size 3's for a while. that's the only size i'd stock up on if you're going to be getting a bunch.

How many diapers do you think it is best to stock up on before baby? My work had a diaper shower for me today at work and we got a pretty good amount of size 1/2 and a couple packages of newborns.
