Then he started daycare. So he was basically at home until about 21 months, then daycare (now preschool) for the past year. We had a nanny until dd was 6 months, then she went to home daycare for a week which was a fail. After that a center which was great while it lasted. Now that my inlaws are retired they have her 3 days a week and we have a sahm (a coworker of mine wife) with a daughter the same age watch her the other days. Oh and we also had DH as a sahd for 2 months, too! For the first 14 months I only worked part time, but when I took my new job I went back full time. LO was with me the first three months, she was in a traditional center from 3 months - 18 months, and she's been in a Montessori school from 18 months - now (almost age 3). So, I guess we've had three different modes of care. </p> <p>Overall I'm mostly happy with our experiences so far. I would have liked to have kept her home and/or with a nanny for slightly longer than 3 months, but other than that she's had good care. </p> <p>How many different methods of childcare has your family experienced? </p>
