At 14 months LO sleeps 12 hours at night. I don't exactly remember how much he slept at night at 3 months but I think it was about 8 hours with 2 night wakings.

On a good day, LO sleeps from 10:00-6:00 uninterrupted, 6:30-10:30, then 1:00-4:00. On a bad day, she wakes up every 3 to 4 hrs. She's 10 weeks old.

My LO is 16 months old and sleeps about 12 hours at night with a 1.5 - 2 hr nap during the day. I remember when he used to wake up in the middle of the night for feedings and thought it would never end. He eventually dropped his middle of the night feeding after he turned 1.

He is extremely inconsistent.

He goes to bed at 6:30pm every night. Lately, and I think it's because he just popped his first tooth, he's been up a few times before midnight, another feeding in the night and then up between 6-7am.

But before this week it was 6:30-4am, then up for the day around 7am-8. So he will sleep anywhere from 11-13.5 hours at night. And an additional 3-4 hours of naps during the day. He loves his sleep!

What's up with all these young babies who sleep 9-10 hours straight?!?! Insanely jealous here. Sleep deprivation is at it's worst when prolonged and 16w of it is NO fun. Ugh.

DD will be 11 weeks on Thursday and she now sleeps for 8 - 9 hrs straight at night with no wake ups. She is always awake for a feed at 6:00 a.m. though, so if she's gone to bed at 8 pm and wakes for a feed at 4:30, she'll still wake up again at 6:00 for another feed. I'm contemplating trying to push her bedtime back to 10 pm but don't want to stuff up the good thing we have going now!!

She does take some good naps though and averages 13 - 15 hrs of sleep per day.

Typically 730ish till about 6/630ish. But she is notorious for only sleeping after a 4/5am feed if I hold her. Which I do so I can catch some extra Zs.

So about 11hrs and on average she takes three 30 minute naps at daycare. So 12.5 hrs total in a day. Alot better than her 9-10 before so I'll take it!

DS is 5 months, and he routinely gets 10 hours at night, with two wakeups. The last two nights in a row he's gotten almost 12 hours, with only one wake-up, but it's the first time ever he's done it! And I probably just jinxed myself and he'll be up like 5 times tonight, lol. :)

We're working on it--it has been rough!
Every once in awhile he will only sleep ONE stretch (no wake ups) and will not go back to sleep. Usually then the stretch is 5 to 7.5 hours.

We put him down at 9pm and he sleeps until 7:30am with no wakes/feeds in between. Sometimes after his morning meal he'll sleep again until 11am, but its touch and go. Naps are pretty iffy during the day, though! He is just over 3 months.
We don't take much credit for his good night sleep though.... He was pretty jaundiced at birth and would never wake up... We woke him up for every feed for awhile. So to sleep train him we just ... Woke him up less as he grew older. We also let him have a paci sometimes and have let him CIO. Works 90% of the time!

Sounds like he is getting adequate sleep, though! Good job, mama! And baby!

@winniebee: it is just a general overview of infant sleep (not a sleep training book or any book that has a specific solution). It is called "great expectations, guide to infant sleep." Or something close to that? I didn't want anything biased and this book is perfect for that!

Our LO is one week shy of 4 months old (I've already stopped counting her age in weeks) and we usually put her down for bed at 8pm, and her earliest wakeup time is 6am. On days we're super lucky, she'll sleep until 7:30am (and we always pray that happens on a weekend day!). And she wakes up for a feeding around 2-3am.

I put my LO down at 7 (or a bit earlier if she is really tired), do a dreamfeed and diaper at 11, another feed and diaper when she wakes around 3, and she is up at 7. So she is in her bed for 12 hours unless she is really tired. She will be 11 weeks Thursday.

I was reading in one of my sleep books that babies at our babies' our age only *need* 10 hours of sleep at night and 4.5 hours of sleep during the day. My LO never sleeps more than 11 at night, usually closer to 10. Every baby is different!
