I'm sorry @2peasinapod. I know exactly how you feel. It really sucks that they make us wait. We as mother's who've lost children deserve to know what's going on before we lose another.

@ChasingARainbow: I'm really sorry for your losses.

I've had 3 miscarriages out of 4 pregnancies. I had 2 back to back, then had my little guy. We started NTNP when he was 10 months, got pregnant right away and miscarried again. Unfortunately, they won't test unless I have 3 miscarriages in a row, which is frustrating. I'm a little worried that I do have a chromosomal abnormality, and LO was just the fluke that worked. The problem with them not wanting to test until I have 3 in a row is that I don't know if I can handle another miscarriage let alone 2.

Lots of luck in your journey...hugs

Thanks @lilteacherbee and @sweetiepie. Does anyone know if it's possible to have a chromosomal abnormality even after a healthy full term pregnancy?

I had 2 missed miscarriages. Mine were due to a chromosomal abnormality that I carry and will pass on 9 times out of 10. I am currently 10.5 weeks pregnant with our third and what I'm confident will be our take-home-baby. So far all ultrasounds and tests have been as good as can be and we're farther than we've ever made it. We had to go through IVF with PGD testing in order to have a chromosomally normal baby. So we're pretty confident.

Hope you get your rainbow baby soon! Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions and advocate for yourself (progesterone, more testing, etc). Listen to your heart

I had one at 9 weeks. I opted to have a D&C so that they could do chromosomal testing. We found out that the baby had an abnormality that's usually pretty random, which made me less anxious and more anxious at the same time. It felt like it took forever to get my next BFP, but I ended up conceiving my LO 3 days before my original due date. He's currently 3 months old :)

I hope your next BFP is sticky and you have a happy and healthy pregnancy

@lovehoneybee that's encouraging to me. I know everyone is different, but it makes it easier when I hear other women go on to have a healthy pregnancy after two mc. I feel like it's getting a little easier each day to move forward. Thank you!

@ChasingARainbow: I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had a chemical pregnancy and then a miscarriage a few months later (in my mind the only difference being *when* it happened). I got pregnant with my son three months after the second one.

@ChasingARainbow: I'm so sorry for your loss :(

I had two losses back to back-one at 4 weeks, and one at 6-and both were natural. I'm now 34 weeks pregnant, and this little one is looking great!

During this pregnancy, I took baby aspirin and started on progesterone suppositories as soon as I got my BFP. I think the key for me, though, was that I had an HSG the cycle that I got pregnant. I bled a LOT after it, and my doctor thinks that I needed to clear everything out to help the baby implant. It's also possible that I have a mild clotting issue, so we added the baby aspirin. My blood work wasn't definitive for anything other than low progesterone, but the combination of changes that we made has helped.

I hope that you get your sticky baby very soon

I had one missed m/c (found at 10 week ultrasound). My next pregnancy was successful and I had my rainbow baby a couple weeks before the one year anniversary of my m/c. I didn't do anything differently the second time around (other than worry more!). Hugs and good luck to you!

Thanks ladies! Well, I had both mc very early. I was told that it was a chromosome abnormality. No baby in sac the 2nd time. They won't test unless I have a 3rd mc. I've been taking folic acid and baby aspirin so fair. When I become pregnant will the doctor give me progesterone immediately? My progesterone level was 18.7 during my last mc. Is that good or bad? I have a appointment with my gyn in a few weeks for my annual pap and I plan on asking questions. I should have asked questions at my post d&c visit, but I was still in shock and I wasn't there mentally. I had the worst d&c experience ever. Had a threatened mc for 3 weeks. Then had a methotrexate injection that made me feel horrible! Then lost 3 pints of blood during my surgery. I woke up in the worst pain because they had to put a balloon in my uterus to stop the bleeding. It has me traumatized. I can't imagine going through that again.

I had 3 and am now 25 weeks. The last m/c was the cycle before I got pregnant with this one...no one can make sense of the timing because the bleeding was my LMP. I had a lot of RPL testing done and although I also had fertility treatments, I feel that what made the difference was taking folate (not folic acid) for a MTHFR mutation. It is scary, but I hope you can get some answers.

@junebugmama: Not long before this sticky baby I saw a double rainbow and it gave me so much hope.

I had 5. All of my MC's were unexplained. However, I did have cancer, and even though the docs say that they didn't see anything that effected the babies in there, I don't believe them. The minute my rainbow baby was born there was an actual rainbow in view from outside the hospital window <3

I had a late term loss at 20 weeks. With my rainbow baby, I started progesterone immediately, was on bp meds, and a baby aspirin daily. I saw my ob every 3 weeks, except weeks 26-30, I went 1 month between appts, and then after 30 weeks, I went every week until I delivered at 38 weeks.

I had 2 m/c's (both at ~8 weeks). I'm now 36+ weeks pregnant. I went through the RPL testing, and they didn't find anything notable. I'm thrilled that #3 didn't take an interventions, but I do worry about trying for our next child. Not sure if I could go through all of that again. Hugs to you. I hope your rainbow baby is just around the corner.

I can't answer this definitively, since I'm only 13 weeks now, but that's much farther than I've been before and everything is looking on track for this one being my take home baby. Have you had any testing? I had a doctor willing to do testing after my second m/c (had to take 18 vials of blood!), and everything came back perfectly normal. Which in a weird way made me feel better, because the odds of 3 losses with no known issue causing them are very, very low. And like I said, this one is looking perfect so far! Good luck and lots of hugs to you. One loss was hard, but the second made it a lot scarier, even though in my case it was easier because it was a much earlier loss.

I'm so sorry. it seems like different things work for different people (even if causes are unknown) but definitely get everything checked out you can.

for me, I had 2 chemicals on 50mg clomid and got my LO on 100mg clomid. we had all the testing and cause is unknown but my theory is something with 100mg clomid changed my hormones in the right way (no RE would support that theory, but since it's unexplained what do they know??)

unfortunately, I've had 2 more trying for LO#2. so my issues are still there. more testing, no answers. one of these was without meds and one was on 50mg clomid. we're trying 100mg clomid again and hoping for the best next cycle. I'm also trying metformin because I have mild PCOS and the RE thinks it's worth a shot as an additional measure.

I hope things work out for you soon! it's so scary and hard but I think you have a good chance, especially if you can see an RE

I know how you feel, its a rough place to be in :( I had 2 m/cs that I know of, and am now 16w along with my 3rd pregnancy. Both losses were super early. This time, I am on Lovenox for a few different autoimmune issues. Have you had RPL testing? I didn't feel comfortable TTC again until we got some answers and changed protocol.
