Had I been allowed to deliver on base here, they probably would have tried to induce me before my due date since she was so large. Labor started on my due date. But yeah, 37 weeks is full term, so while you can have a baby "a month early" at 36 weeks, that same baby would have been considered full term a week later. Sometimes docs will induce at 39 weeks or so if the baby is likely to be big or some other reason that makes delivering before due date preferable-- but 39 is still "full term."
