We're still 6x/day. I don't think you need to worry about supply at this point. IF you miss/delay a feed every once in awhile it shouldn't cause any supply issues :)

@sslm: I think at this stage your supply is established. You should be right. Sometimes we feed all over the place and I don't pump if I miss a feed anymore and have noticed no difference.

There's such a wide range, which I guess shouldn't surprise me!!!

I've just been so obsessed with maintaining supply, but at this point, I probably don't need to be too worried?

I am in the process of dropping a feed now. She was feeding 7, 11, 2, 5:30, 6:30 (bed time) and then one MOTN. With solids at 8 and 4:30. I have just dropped the 5:30 and added in a 3rd solids meal of bread and avo (so nothing substantial and only because she gets jealous if I am eating). So far it seems to be going ok and she isn't bothered or waking up more than usual.

If you just want to see how she goes at first I would try and push that 9 am feed back a little and see what happens.

We did 4x a day 1x a night for a long time... definitely at 8 months. He did two meals of solids then, and then shortly after STTN and added a third meal.

Miss A has always been a frequent nurser and was still having 6-10 feeds in 24 hours at eight months but she could go 3-4 hours between feeds if we were out and about. If I remember correctly A also dropped her lunchtime feed at about 7-8 months and would feed before her first nap at 10ish, have solids for lunch and then not nurse again till her second nap at 3ish

At 8 months, Xander usually ate 4-5 times a day. He could usually go 3-4 hours between feeds and really depending on how long his naps were! He also ate 1-2 meals of solids.

Hmm..I have no idea. A lot. But she can go 4 hours between if we are busy. I try to feed every 2-3 hours during the day because if I don't she is up even more than usual at night.
She doesn't nurse well in public unless she is super hungry. Do you drive? She will nurse well in the car, so sometimes if I can't get a quiet, private spot while we are out I sit in the car. A little harder now that it's cold, though...

Right now, if she sleeps through the night, M gets 6 sessions. Obviously if she wakes up through the night it can be more. She typically nurses at 7, 9, 12, 2, 5, and 7.

She eats solid food around 8, and 5:45.

I'm wondering when I'll be able to drop a session, she sucks at NIP so I'd love to be able to be out for more than 2 or 3 hours!!! Haha

How many times per day does/did your 8 month old nurse?
