We began dropping them slowly - first the middle of the night, then the afternoon, then the morning. Now at 14 months he only has his before bed session but it's short and will end soon too. I wanted to transition slowly to whole milk since he didn't really like it at first. During the week this included two bottles at daycare. She initially took 5 1/2 oz bottles when she started going to daycare (5 mos). Eventually between months 10-12 or so she started not finishing her bottles so by the time she was a year I was only sending 4 oz bottles. My pumping output was decreasing as well so we made it work. </p> <p>I nursed/pumped full time until 13 months so once she made it past a year I just sent an 8 oz sippy of breastmilk to the toddler room. At 13 months I day weaned and gradually transitioned breastmilk to whole milk using my freezer stash (maybe 40 oz? could have done it with less) and then continued to nurse morning/evening without pumping. I have no freezer stash and I am wondering how many times during the work day I will actually be pumping. L is 8 months now and has not decreased nursing in the slightest. When does this change? How many sessions/bottles was your LO down to by their first year? </p>
