My favorite by far is the Chicago Symphony Orchestra- they are way too amazing! I actually had the pleasure of playing in my city's symphony orchestra (as a paid member!!) while I was in college. It was super fun.
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/how-many-of-you-have-ever-been-to-the-symphony#post-287664 Sat, 08 Sep 2012 15:23:12 +0000 Andrea 287664@https://boards.hellobee.com/
@looch: yup, Lincoln Center. We have a great symphony here and we go a few times a season. When LO is old enough, I will get season tickets for her and I so we can dress up and go together.
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/how-many-of-you-have-ever-been-to-the-symphony#post-287612 Sat, 08 Sep 2012 13:43:37 +0000 prettylizy 287612@https://boards.hellobee.com/
I love the Symphony. I also played violin and was in multiple youth orchestras through elementary, middle and high school. DH had never been to the symphony before he met me and so we went once. Poor guy looked like he was about to doze off, haha. But honestly, I found it a bit dull too. Perhaps i wasn't into the composer...
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/how-many-of-you-have-ever-been-to-the-symphony#post-287503 Sat, 08 Sep 2012 11:22:56 +0000 spaniellove 287503@https://boards.hellobee.com/
Yes, I went to see the orchestra a few times in college when they made it easy for us to go as a group.
https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/how-many-of-you-have-ever-been-to-the-symphony#post-287476 Sat, 08 Sep 2012 10:36:36 +0000 Minnie_Girl 287476@https://boards.hellobee.com/
My grandmother took us to the symphony pretty regularly. I've been to the symphony to watch and played on stage at Powell Symphony Hall in St. Louis. :)

I will take C. She already loves music and I want her exposed to all different genres. I always assumed that everyone had, my mom used to drag me kicking and screaming when I was younger. So, I intend to do the same with my children, hopefully with less kicking and screaming. How many of you have been to the Symphony and/or intend to bring your babies when they are older?
