They're both 88 years old. My paternal grandfather is a little younger and now single. He remarried a couple of years after my grandma died, but I don't acknowledge his (now) ex. She's young and I knew it wouldn't last long. Grandma pasted away in 2001, she was 75. Even though two dies before I was 5. My moms mom was alive until I was a freshman in college. I have lots of good memories of her even though she lived a few states away. My parents are older (65&amp;76 - I'm 25) so I knew I wouldn't have grandparents for much of my life. I thought she was terrifying because she was old and I couldn't understand a thing she said and my mom wanted me to stand next to her for a picture and I was like no way. Both my mom's dad and my dad's mom died well before I was born. This is a sad subject to us because DH's father died when LO was 2.5 weeks old and before she got to meet him (he was sick).
