We were expecting a big baby too, but she's tiny, and a four months still fits into some newborn stuff. I also had a lot of sleep n plays that she rarely wears because it's so darn hot!

DD was 8lbs 13oz and a lot of her newborn clothing was a little big. If I could redo what I bought I would have picked up a few preemie sleepers, a lot of newborn sleepers, less of the really nice, expensive newborn outfits (maybe 3 tops) because she is never in them except maybe once or twice a week. I probably would have bought more the nice outfits in 3 month size because by that age they can be out in public more and they still have to be warm but not like they have to be when they are newborn's. If you're up to 9 months, I'd say you're set for now :)

You never know. Our LO was measuring 90th percentile for height and weight so I stocked up on 0 - 3 months. Our LO ended up coming 6 weeks early and we had to stock up on
Preemie and newborn stuff. I don't think of would hurt to get a
3 - 5 newborn outfits and probably more items in 0 -
3 months. You can always get more clothes once LO gets here.

I thought the same thing about newborn sizes, but my lo was 8'11" and he was in newborn size for the first month. I had to run to the store for more outfits. I would suggest 6 onesies with feet. Carter brand was my favorite. Ralph Lauren newborn was too small.

It was hard for me to figure out too...I just looked at the HB layette guide and several other layette guides to get a good idea. I have a lot of combinations of stuff...creepers, onesies s/s & l/s, sleepers, etc.

So DH keeps saying that we already have "too much" clothing for baby. But, the way I look at it...he will be in more than 1 outfit a day because of poopoo accidents and spit ups and he grows so fast that we need to stock up before he comes.
But now I am wondering if he may be right.
So I am wondering how many pieces of clothing you had at each stage?

I literally only have 2 newborn outfits because i'm expecting a big baby. And my collection ends at 9m for now. It will be summer when he is into 12m so I am waiting until this fall to hit up the summer clearance and get his 12m+ stuff.
