Okay, so I am going to share a secret here that so far only me and my sister know about.... LO already has huge budding shoe collection! eek! 1/2 of it is bought by my sister, the shoe-aholic, and she can't stop! lol!
I admit, I bought the leopard flats, the black Stuart Weitzman mary-janes, and the Baby Gap pink moccasins. Too irresistible and we'll definitely do pics in those!

Gosh I thought I had a lot of shoes for DS but I guess not compared to some others! At 14 mo he has 4 pairs. 2 pediped (one original one grip n go) 1 stride rite srt soft motion, one crocs. His favorite are the pediped and crocs. The stride rite are cute but are kind narrow in the opening, so hard to get on.

@Coco Bee: Yes they are, we love them! We were looking at the different kinds but the lady at the store suggested the higher tops to keep her feet in and give her more support, I'm so glad we went with them. It's also hard for us to find soft sole shoes for my LO because she has such big feet for her age and she's a late walker, so they're perfect for her.

Tyler has 4 pairs - Old Navy's version of chuck taylors, a pair of "sneakers" from TCP, a pair of robeez (like brown sneakers - really cute), and a pair of moccasins. He only fits in the Old Navy ones that are size 0-3! I have been only putting him in them when we are in the bjorn - otherwise if we are outside a blanket covers his feet. The robeez seem like they will be best for not getting kicked off, but they are still too big.

LO has one pair of shoes (at age 2), plus some water shoes. I like the Umi brand for toddlers. We've had several pairs of their shoes and loved them all. Before LO walked, I didn't buy shoes, just thick socks when it was chilly. But I agree with the prior posters--flexible soles for prewalking babies.

LO has just 2 pairs of shoes that fit her right now. I was waiting for her to be full on walking before I got her more shoes. Soft sole shoes are definitely better for babies that are learning to walk. I was at a store trying to find her a pair of shoes a little while ago and they actually adviced me to keep her feet bare as much as possibility until she learned to walk. She's walking really well now so it's time to shop! My problem is that she actually takes her shoes off herself! I need a pair that's hard for her to remove.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: well I think soft soles are more comfortable than a rigid shoe. Easier to move in and put on. I have no idea what they're "supposed" to start out wearing hahah! but they don't need a supportive shoe until they're walking, and even then - they don't have fully developed arches so they don't need the sneaker type shoes... idk I'm not expert though

@Rainbow Sprinkles: well Cobi isn't a small baby anymore :) now that he is crawling and moving - and even standing (!!), shoes are more of a necessity- and it's a lot easier for him to crawl when he can get a grip with shoes... AND it's getting cooler out ;)

Willa has over 20 pairs and hasn't even worn a single pair yet. Even the newborn size ones are too big for her!

I am not a huge fan of shoes on small babies. I feel bad for them....like their feet are smashed or something.

@Coco Bee: My LO has 5 pairs of shoes that fit him now. We have black converse size 2, I dont like the way they fit, they are too flimsy and come off easily, I don't think you would have this problem if they weren't infant though. We have some nikes and new balance and they are a good fit and stay on. We also have size 3 sperrys that are so cute, they are a little bigger for LO so he hasn't really got to wear them yet! We also have some cheaper slip on shoes he wears occasionally.

I want to get him some tiny toms!

Half were gifted, half I bought. But the only ones she wears now are the booties.

We have a brown pair of Livie and Luca shoes, and a pair of black and white pumas that were hand me downs, then my Mom bought him a brown and orange pair of Robeez little shoez, and he also has a black pair of fake Uggs and a navy and black pair of robeez boots ... these are all in his current size.

He doesn't seem to have any opinion on his shoes at this point though!

We also have a grey and a brown pair of robeez little shoez in the next size up, and brown baby Uggs as well, so he is set for shoes for a white!

i think boys' sneakers are super cute on girls. we have electric blue adidas (both were gifts) and they look great on boys and girls!
