I was also a little bitter because both my grandma's passed away this year so it was the first time they wouldn't be calling me on my birthday so I just wanted to pout a little bit and not talk to people. My parents were with me and we celebrated, and I got messages from everyone else when I looked at my phone at the end of the weekend, except my in laws.
