I just made a side room we had downstairs and kinda used for various stuff into a play room. I love it, my husband sits in the rocker and writes his thesis and can keep an eye on her sometimes and all her toys are consolidated in there instead of our living room. She also has a room upstairs. She's taking over.

DD2 is crawling so she has little hot spots in each room with toys she can reach to entertain herself... E.g. Basket of toys on the floor in living room, magnet toys on the fridge in the kitchen... DD1 has most of her own toys in her room. We also have a community playroom downstairs for a change in scenery and to play with neighbors or the playground across the street!

She loves "crawling " around in her room. She doesn't really crawl yet, but she scootches and rolls.her way around. In the living room we have her jumper and high chair. She only goes in her swing to nap. We also like to sit out front.

Our living room has her exersaucer and when she's bored with that, we just move to the floor. She's learning to crawl so she's constantly on the move. LO never liked her swing!

My 5 month old DD gets bored so I have to switch it up. We have different activites for her playmat downstairs, one upstairs, her crib, her playard, her around the world thinger majigger, swing, baby bjorn bouncer, high chair, and bumbo. I think that's about it. Where do you place your infant for playtime?
