So our ideal would be to have a boy and then a girl. We have decided if the first two are a boy and a girl (which ever order) we'll be done. If the first two are the same sex we will check our finances and if possible we would have a third. I share my mom with two of my brothers and my dad with my other brother and my sister. I'm the oldest. Does that make any sense?</p> <p>DH has a brother. He grew up living with his brother and two cousins. His mom is divorced and so is his aunt so they joined their families to raise their kids with two incomes.</p> <p>Since we have siblings we know we want more than one kid. Right now we are thinking four. My parents and ILs all have at least 4-6 siblings and so do many of their friends.</p> <p>However, it's just my brother and I and DH is an only child. Most of friends only have 1 sibling, if at all, and the most I've seen is 3 kids total. </p> <p>How many brothers/sisters do you have? Why do you think it affected our parents' generation and how will it affect the number of kids you have? </p>
