So far ultrasound techs have been really happy with fluid levels, so I must be doing something right. I try to drink more before dinner than after dinner to minimize the middle of the night trips and my nemesis reflux.<br /> a. First- usually only once, if at all. Earlier on it was more like 3-4 times but seems to have slowed down thank goodness. I had some traces of lactobasilicus at my 8 week appointment - even though they thought it was contamination, they put me on antibiotics for 10 days. I must have a huge bladder normally because I NEVER usually go in the night, and I typically can go the whole work day and never pee until I come home.<br /> First trimester hit, and I turned into a once or twice a night peer.<br /> I've been working on getting it down to once a night by going for a really good pee right before I sleep. So far, it is working.....or maybe it's a second trimester thing? I average two wake ups a night. One usually around 1 am and one around 5 am. I'm only 5 weeks, so I know it is only because I'm drinking so much water.</p> <p>One of my books said to drink throughout the day, and then lessen your intake in the evening. I did this by default the other night, because I fell asleep at 8 pm. I usually drink a few glasses of water from 8 pm- 11 pm before I go to bed. That night, I don't think I got up until about 6:30 am, and was about to get up anyway. I would drink a lot of water before bed so it was inevitable. In my first trimester it went to 2-3 times depending on how much I drink. Now in my second trimester it is 3-4 times. I have no idea. I've been a bit worried as I don't feeling like I'm having to pee any more frequently than normal, considering the amount of water I'm drinking, and I wondered if something was wrong. I'm now at 6 months and can make it through the night. I do limit my liquids before bedtime though....and sometimes wake up with a really dry mouth. My room was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs and I remember seriously contemplating peeing out my window (I never did) and there were times that I barely made it lol... </p>
