@Mrsbee
She's been fighting that nap between 3 and 8, she acts tired but will not go down.
@cupcakemama
We just started her on one solid a day, rice cereal, and formula. She seems to be genuinely hungry, on the once an hour nights it's more of a comfort waking, regular nights she seems hungry.

3 hours is a long time to be awake at that age between naps. she could be waking up frequently at night because she's overtired from not enough naps in the daytime. a 5 hour gap before bedtime is definitely way too long -- charlie doesn't even stay up that long before bedtime.

i think 2 hours is the max she should be awake in between naps. olive is 5 1/2 months and is usually awake about 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hours between naps. her schedule is like this:

8:30 wake up
10:30 - 11:00am - nap
12:45 - 2:45pm - nap (if she takes a short nap, she does 4 naps/day)
3:45 - 4:15pm - nap
6:00pm - asleep
10:00pm - wake, feed
1:00am - wake, feed
4:00am - wake, feed
7:00am - wake, feed

She usually wakes up 4x a night. Last night she blessed me with 3 wake ups.

Can you try putting her down for naps every 2 hours?

It varies so much but that schedule seems pretty normal to me. I think if she does wake up every hour a lot then you would think more about sleep training. But if she does the above, then that seems fine.

We're very lucky, LO has slept 12 hours since 2 1/2 months. But my cousin's baby is over one and still doesn't sleep through the night. It just depends.

LO was sleep-trained and by 5 months she was in bed by 5:30pm...Up to eat at midnight...Up to eat at 4am...And then up for good at 7am.

At 6 months, she dropped one of the feedings and only woke up once (3-4am?)...

It's all so individual! My LO did a similar schedule at night as a newborn. Some of the mums who have done sleep training will probably have better advice than me. Is LO on solids? Is she genuinly hungry at night or just waking and wanting comfort?

I've thought about sleep training, but I'm not really sure if we need to or not. Last night I thought we absolutely had to since she woke up once every hour, oy...

Normally she'll nap at:
6am-7am
10am-11am
2pm-3pm
then she'll go down for the night at 8pm
wake at 11pm - eat/change
wake at 2am - eat/change
wake at 5:45am - eat/change

What do you think?
