From about 2 months to 4 months, he was down to 1 waking/nursing session a night. Then we hit a growth spurt or regression or something and for the last month or two it's been 3-4+ times a night. Usually he wakes up, eats quickly and goes back to sleep, so I'm not too worried...yet. She is 7 months. Last night she nursed at 10:00, 2:30, 4:30, and 6:30. Up for the day at 7:30. It was a pretty good night. Its pretty typical for her to usually wake up at midnight too.</p> <p>I'm a total zombie. We aren't against sleep training (and did some to get her to go to sleep on her own, int he crib at night) but we aren't comfortable moving her out of our room yet. And neither of us is currently capable of functioning on any less sleep. I'm not sure how much was sleep regression, traveling we did, sitting up milestones, actually being hungry, teething and all that fun stuff. I think there's just a lot going on for them. I'm told this is pretty good for her age- and compared to a couple of weeks ago it's amazing. She has always loaded up during the day, in the beginning getting in as many as 15 feedings a day. At 9 months, she still eats anywhere from 7 -10 times per day. I tend to think this is why she has always been a great night sleeper. The crying though was in response to the crib more than anything. The night feedings went away on their own as soon as he wasn't right next to me.<br /> With my second he did it totally on his own- we only moved him to a crib at 8 months. (We tried at 6 and 7 months but both times as soon as he cried we had to get him so he wouldn't wake up his older brother. I had the same question and the same thing happen with my first child. My first son was fed through a bottle and woke up once (maybe twice) a night by 5 months. Both my kids took a while to stop nursing so much at night. First LO went down to 2 wakeups at 6 months, 1 at 8 months and none at 10 months. He was up every two hours, but then we sleep trained because they weren't all about his hunger, it was him not knowing how to fall asleep on his own... When we decided to train I was adamant about keeping 2 sessions in for him AND my supply. She eats every 2-2.5 hours on average once in a while Ill get a 3-4 hour stretch and some nights Ill only get a 1.5 hour break. I never breastfed a baby this long as I pumped and supplemented with my son Is this normal? Is everyone elses exclusively BF baby doing this? </p>
