Sometimes she sleeps all night! :) But, she still sleeps next to our bed. My daughter is 5.5 weeks old. She sleeps for one long stretch from 10 PM until 3 or 4 AM. Once I get her back down again after a feeding she sleeps again until 6 or 7 usually. Until my son was 4-6 he never really slept much longer than 2-3 hours. Once he hit 6 weeks he started sleeping more than 4 hours. But at 2 1/2 months we stopped the swaddle, she found her thumb, and she has slept 12 hours straight since then. Since she is now exclusively breastfed, she wakes up every 2-3 hours to eat. She will not sleep in her bassinet. About every other day, I'll get him to sleep a 4 hour stretch. </p> <p>Every baby is different, but it's pretty common for newborns to only sleep for 2 hours at a time for the first 6 weeks. How many times does your LO wake up each night and at what age did they start sleeping for longer stretches? </p>
