I'm a pushover. And I feel like i'm sooooooo tired it's just easier and better for everyone if she napped, no matter where it was. About once every couple of weeks I would try to get her to nap in her crib. Finally at 8 months she started.

@BKCaribBaby: Seriously, I get it!! I felt like my WHOLE DAY was spent trying to convince him to sleep. I found that if I just kept trying to get him in the crib, he got over tired, and then wouldn't sleep at all. Once I became more laidback about it and just tried to maximize sleep, it was mentally easier. Feel free to vent on my wall if you need to! :)

@scg00387: Ok, thanks. I'll take your word for it. This is so frustrating.

@Mrs. Bee: I may use that idea. Thanks!

ETA: She is now an overtired mess.

@BKCaribBaby: we went through a month where he basically only slept on me. I tried twice to transfer and then gave up. Some days I didn't try at all if I was stressed or he seemed super touchy. Finally it stuck and he LO es his crib now. I know when you're in the middle of it it feels like it'll never get better but it does I promise!

i keep on trying until it's close to bedtime! one trick that has really worked for us and still continues to work is to put a sock filled with rice on olive's back. she thinks it's our hand and goes to sleep!

So my napping success a few weeks ago was a fluke. I am trying to get LO to not sleep in my arms. So far today, she has slept for about 10 minutes after I put her down. I am going to try for Round Three, but if that try doesn't work, I am just going to give up and try again for the next nap. I can't deal with her being overtired. I am not sleep training her yet.

How many times should you try for a nap?
