With LO #1 I had 4, with this one I have had 3. All have been medically necessary, so I wouldn't change it.

With my first LO I think I ended up with 11. I had a lot of complications along the way so they were all medically necessary and paid for by insurance.

With this pregnancy I'm 18 weeks and I've only had one (dating at 6 weeks). We didn't do the NT Scan this time because we opted for the Harmony test and my OB said they were redudant. I'll have my anatomy scan in about 10 days and my guess would be one more to check growth around 36 weeks.

We had one at 12 weeks for dating/confirmation and the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. We shouldn't have any others unless there's a complication.

I think I've had 5 so far (at 32 weeks) and will end up with about 6 or 7. This has been fine for me (more reassuring).

I had one pretty much every time I went! While I have read that so many ultrasounds might not be good for the baby, I would do it again b/c it was reassuring/nice to see her regularly!

I have had 5 so far and I am 29 weeks. I will start having them every week from here on out to measure my cervix and check for growth. Baby girl is measuring in the 9th percentile. I also see the MFM and get U/S at those appointments too. I have a BPP (biophysical profile) scheduled in two weeks. I admit it makes me happy to get to see her at every appointment.

With Miss A, I had three (dating, anatomy and positioning at 35 weeks) plus the scanning they did for my ECV.

With Squish, I've had four (dating, anatomy and growth at 32 and 35 weeks due to GD) and my OB has done quick scans when I've seen her (so two so far plus another this coming Tuesday). I might end up having one more "official" scan if I end up overdue.

I had a lot as well. I had 2 with my RE, graduated to the OB and he did a "dating" scan at 9 weeks (it had only been a week since I left my RE, they wanted their own for some reason). Then I had one at 11, 13, 17, 20 (anatomy scan), 30, 34, 35, and 36. I had high blood pressure towards the end so the Dr would listen to the heart beat and then do a quick ultrasound. Luckily I didn't have to pay for any of them except my copay for the anatomy scan.

Only dating and NT with DD2.

I had 10 - the NT scan at 10/11 weeks and the anatomy scan at 20-ish weeks. I had one at 12 weeks due to positive toxoplasmosis screen, then had one biweekly from 12-26 weeks to monitor the length of my cervix due to a prior cervical LEEP procedure.

I've had a ton and I'm only 17 weeks! I got pg through IUI, so I had like 3-4 at the RE's office before I "graduated" to the OB. Then, I had a SCH so I had 2 extra. My OB did one at 10 weeks to check the status of the SCH. Then the NT scan at 12 weeks. Then just had another one at 16 weeks.

So, thus far I've had, like, 7-8  I'm having the 20 week scan, and because they found some potential issues on my 16 week scan (low lying placenta/possible placenta previa and echogenic bowel), the MFM already told me they are going to have to do more u/s especially in the 3rd tri to check the placenta and keep an eye on baby's growth (echogenic bowel at risk for IUGR).

Just 1 with DS- the anatomy scan.
Something like 6 with DD- 10 wk dating scan, anatomy scan, 3rd tri measurements, and then biweekly at the end since I had GDM.
This time I've only had 2- dating and anatomy.
I wouldn't change anything with any of the pregnancies as I feel what was in baby's best interest was done.

6! 2 were elective. If I could go back I'd skip the 3D because she wouldn't show her face so it was sort of a waste. Insurance covered my non-elective but even if they were expensive I'd do the NT and anatomy scans at a minimum.

With DD, I had a dating, an NT, the anatomy scan, and one later on to check on the placenta, plus one elective one. So four medical ones and an elective. This pregnancy, I think I've had seven (edited, recounted) so far, and the NT will be my eighth. I'd rather have not had any bleeding or issues in pregnancy than have had all the ultrasounds, but I'm glad I got them because it was the only way for us to know what was going on in there.

I've had a lot..I had a few in 1st tri after my IVF, then my NT scan, gender scan, anatomy scan, 28 week and having one tomorrow at 36 weeks. I didn't have to pay for any of them (minus the first few at the RE clinic) the rest were covered by insurance.

With DD2 so far I've had 3 medical and will have one more, and have had one elective and will have one more. I had bleeding early and they did an u/s for that, then the typical 8weeks-ish, then NT. Anatomy will be in 2 weeks.

For the medical ones our copay is $50 so it doesn't bother me too much. The elective ones were slightly more.

I had a ton (went through IVF and had twins, so I had an US at every RE, OB and MFM appointment). I wish I'd had a couple more at the MFM, actually. They released me from the hospital at 32.5 weeks onto bedrest and said they didn't need to see me anymore. At that point both babies were measuring just over 4 lbs. Six weeks later Blake was born 4 lb 15 oz. we don't know if it was placenta issues, growth restriction due to my size and having two in there, or if the earlier estimates were just wrong (obviously they can be and often are! Though more commonly babies measure large and are smaller than they think). My kids are healthy and I know that's all that matters, but I do wonder if MFM would have caught this if I hadn't been released early.

Had a ton last time, and looks like there will be quite a few this a time, as I have an SCH they want to monitor. They don't cost us anything, so that's not an issue. I do question whether they definitely have 100% no negative effects, so back before I got pregnant the first time I planned to have as few as possible. But after everything, even if I had no complications this time I would request extra ones for peace of mind.

I had 4. One dating, one anatomy and two for post-dates. I would have been happy enough with just the anatomy scan at 20 weeks.
