It's not necessarily advanced if they do more than that, it's more of the threshold of what they worry about. i.e. if they can't do 2 word sentences at 2yo there might be an issue.<br /> Not sure if that has anything to do with what you are trying to find out, but I found it interesting when I heard that. </p> <p>And I never googled this or did more research, I just heard that through word of mouth. He can put together 5-7 word sentences, but I think he's a little advanced verbally. I think at 2, she had several complex sentences. My LO just turned 2 last month and her sentences are 3-5 words on average, nothing more at this point. Looking for the norm/average. </p>
