And the other is 4 years younger. </p> <p>Growing up, I did everything with Sister #1. We rarely fought. We were so much alike.</p> <p>But Sister #2 was so very different from us, personality-wise, that we weren't as close. We just couldn't understand her (she was a complete hellion). Those two fought all the time, and I tried to keep the peace. Mom always made me sit in the middle in the car to keep them apart.</p> <p>Now, even though I have more in common with Sister #1, I'm actually closer to Sister #2 because she is a better communicator. Since I live so far away, communication skills make a bigger difference. My brother is almost 3 years older than me ... we were super close until he hit high school, then he never talked to me ;). We started talking again when I was in college and we get along super well but we're not really close. </p> <p>My sister is 5 years younger than me and it's almost the opposite with her. We were not close at all growing up. We shared a room so I do remember a few late nights talking, but during the day we specialized in pushing each other's buttons. By late high school, however, I think I started to empathize with her a little more. By the time I left for college she was my little buddy and by the time she graduated high school - one of my best friends. Today I often forget there are five years between us. We're incredibly close and share everything.
