It seems like I'm sleeping a lot more--because I'm really tired now (36wks). My baby is really low and I'm going to the bathroom every hour--sometimes more than once an hour. When you add the multiple bathroom trips to the pelvic girdle pain I have--it makes it hard to roll over and get out of bed. So I would say I'm up for at least 15-20 minutes of every hour--which means that I'm sneaking in more naps to make up for the lost time when I can.

I have never been a great sleeper so not much has changed in that respect. I slept horribly between weeks 14-20 but now I seem to be doing a lot better. It is very odd. I consider 6 hours a night to be pretty good for me, and that is probably what I'm getting at the moment. I pee a lot at night, but I also wake up to drink water. Counter-productive, I know.

@Mrs. Bee: Taking 1/2 unisom helped me for about a month but I seemed to have adjusted to it and lately can't sleep well? Did you find the same?

i've been getting about 7 hours sleep. before that, i nap on my hubby for like about an hour or 2. lol. we watch tv and i end up falling asleep. i wish i could sleep like that all night. except i drool on him and i woke myself up last night snorting. lol.

the only thing that works for me now is to sleep on the recliner. i can't sleep on the bed anymore. canNOT get comfortable.

For some reason since being diagnosed with GD and cutting back on my sugar intake and upping water/seltzer I have been peeing 100 times less and not up in the middle of the night. I've also started taking long hot showers before bed and not playing on my iPad as much and am finding I am usually sleeping through till 5am or so (falling asleep around 10 or 11pm)

I have the same problem- I wake up to pee 3-4 times a night (sometimes more) and some nights my legs get really restless and I have to stretch them before laying back down.

My main issue before was heartburn, but my dr finally gave me a script so I would quit waking up choking on acid. The past week I feel so much more rested because I'm not waking up because of that.

I don't know we will get any relief until babies come at the end of May!

(FYI- I'm also futuremrsrichardson from the May board on WB)

How much sleep are you getting?

I have had such a hard time sleeping since 20 weeks (now 29 weeks). I had pretty bad insomnia for awhile and my midwife finally OK'd 1/2 unisom every night. Doesn't seem to be working lately (not sure if it's because I've been sick). Anyways, I probably am only getting 6 hours lately all in - I go to bed early enough, and often fall asleep right away, but wake up 4-5 times a night - to pee and just because I'm uncomfortable, and it's getting more and more difficult to fall back asleep. I try deep breathing, etc, but sometimes I'm just plain restless.

What about you? What are your tricks?
