At least 2-3 big cups a day, sipping on and off. Never had issues with either boy. Thank goodness!

I had probably an average of a grande mocha a day when I was nursing ds1 and my son never showed any signs of an issue with it. These twins have had a half caff mocha daily this entire pregnancy so I think they'd be predisposed to be ok with caffeine, lol. I guess we'll see.

I have one large mug a day in the morning. But we've had some really fussy days so skipped it today just to see if I saw a difference. So far fussiness is at a minimum and she's sleeping pretty well. But who knows it could just be a good day for her! I hope it's a coincidence! I love my coffee in the morning!

I was wondering this too! I wasn't too worried about the 1 cup that was my previous normal, but these days I crave coffee all day everyday. It doesn't seem to affect my 2 mo old, he sleeps very well for his age. I try to stick to 2 cups in the morning and a half cup or so in the afternoon. Or something else like black milk tea. If only because I know caffeine is dehydrating and I can't keep up with how much water I need to drink!

My daughter nursed for 19 months...in newborn days I kept it to no caffeine, then eventually had an occasional coffee and saw no noticeable effect. Once I went back to work (at 4 months) I tried to drink coffee immediately after pumping so the caffeine would be at a minimum for my next pump session. Eventually as my daughter got older I didn't pay attention to it at all for timing with nursing and I stopped pumping when she was a year.

Kellymom said a lot of babies need an excess to have any reaction but I'm sure some babies react from not much at all!

How much did you drink? How did your LO react?
