I ordered my own invitations {because they were splurgy and I didn't want someone else to have to pay that ridiculous amount}. The friend who offered to host it was having a lot of money problems at the time and I felt really guilty about it, even told her we could cancel, but she insisted. I paid for the invitations, half of the food and we held it at my apartment (it was small, just a dozen-ish people). I think if you're willing to help and don't mind doing what you're doing, then it's fine! I also ordered my cake and I'm paying for that too.</p> <p>My sister is wanting to do all of it but she has a 7 month old and is working overtime lately. I feel bad putting all of this on her, especially the financial part. But at the same time I had a friend mention that I'm doing a lot and that she didn't have to do a thing for her shower...her friend took care of it all.</p> <p>I also love party planning and know what I like.
