I put everything in the dryer wrt to baby clothes, I've never had an issue with shrinkage. I use a lot of Carters stuff too, I wash with cool water and dry on high heat.

I have a bunch of bodysuits from Carters that LO has worn non stop. I haven't noticed any shrinkage but I have never put them in the dryer, they are always line dried.

All of my baby clothes shrank and I washed them in cold water and dried them on low heat. The Carter's ones especially. But they do stretch back out and they will fit your newborn :-)

I've washed a lot of baby's new clothes and haven't noticed shrinking so far. They just look a little shrunken because I'm bad about getting clothes out of the dryer promptly and they're a tad (a lot) wrinkled :)

Tip from a friend: If you're like her (and us) and got TONS of clothes as gifts, don't wash too far in advance and don't take tags off of clothes too far in advance. There are things that LO just won't have a chance to wear, and that's one less baby gift I have to buy :)

I dried everything low and didn't have much shrinkage. I'll airdry her jeans and dresses.

I washed everything, I didnt really notice shrinkage but its hard to tell. But I havent bought anything in NB sizes. All my baby clothes are 3 months and up. The NB sizes just look so teeny and dont seem worth it to me.
I did handwash and air dry a few onesies that had appliques or very dark colors, so you could air dry too like @Artbee suggested

If your that worried you could air dry. The only thing of lo's that shrinks are her pjs and swaddle blankets.

I think it'll differ by brand and material. But I don't really think they shrunk a ton.

I think the NB stuff looks so teeny tiny!

I keep hearing that I should wash all my baby's new clothes before she wears them.
However, I am paranoid of them shrinking a ton. Some of the newborn stuff I have now DOES look pretty huge (so maybe it needs to shrink) but I am apprehensive.

Did anyone notice how much their new baby clothes shrank after drying them?
